At Orca Pediatrics, we offer a unique approach to pediatric care, known as direct primary care (DPC). Patients have direct access to their doctor 7 days a week with unlimited visits. Appointments are available same day or next day and are as long as needed. The focus is on personalized care from a doctor who knows you and treats you like part of the family. We are membership-based and do not bill insurance.
What is DPC Pediatrics?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) Pediatrics is a medical model in which doctors provide comprehensive medical care for children directly, removing the barriers to access, time, and quality that exist in traditional healthcare. When pediatricians care directly for patients, they are freed from insurance requirements and restraints and can devote their time to practicing evidence-based, high quality medicine rather than charting, billing, and being forced to see high numbers of patients daily.
DPC is a subscription membership model practice that does not participate in medical insurance plans. A monthly membership subscription is paid directly to the pediatrician’s office and covers all traditional office-based costs. There are no surprise fees and no co-pays. Pediatricians can focus on patients—not insurance company regulations. The results are better healthcare outcomes, improved patient and family experiences, and reduced long term healthcare costs.
Mission:
To provide compassionate, evidence based, whole person care and to build trusting, long term relationships with patients and families focusing on prevention and wellness.
